RESUMO

Strawberry crop comes showing its importance in area and economy in Brazil. Research works about this plant are few in the country. And thus, it is very important the realization of studies about the mineral nutrition of the strawberry plant. The objective of this work was to characterize nutritional deficiencies visual symptoms and the effect of nutritional deficiencies on the growth, development, yield and plant mineral nutrition. The experiment was carried out under greenhouse conditions at Soil Science Department at UFLA, Lavras, MG, Brazil, from April 2007 during five months, using a randomized blocks design, with five replications and 15 treatments: complete Hoagland &Arnon solution, nutritional solutions with simple omissions of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, B, Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn and solutions with multiple omissions of Ca x B, B x Zn and K x B. After the treatments beginning the plants had been observed, verifying the visual alterations due of nutrients omissions, being the symptoms characterized and photographed during the experimental period. Other evaluates had been done, natural and dry matters of the shoot, dry matter of the root, yield and nutritional content and accumulation from plants shoot. This dates had been submitted to the variance analysis and the averages evaluated by Skott &Knott test with 5% of probability. With Sisvar computational program help the analyses were realized. The majority of the nutritional omissions show visual symptoms in strawberry plants. Nutritional contents and accumulations are disturbed due nutrients omissions.
