RESUMO

Accessibility at an urban space implies necessarily in an environment without barriers, with suitable and safe conditions for an autonomous access to buildings, transportation, and other facilities, as well as to all types of urban equipments that serve not only youngsters and the handicapped, but also all citizens in a community. Due to the relevance of the theme, the importance of the Cartography and the various stages of space planning as well, this research work has conceived a methodology which allows the an application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in order to comply with the existing legislation, making use of Spacial Data Modeling by a system that automates the information flow and its processing as to the identification, assessment of physical conditions and georeferenced location for ramps. The UFPE Campus was selected as an experimental area in order to validate this system, for which thematic maps have been generated, as well as percentage graphics and threedimensional electronic models.
