RESUMO

The accelerated technological innovation is promoting fast changes in the atmosphere of the businesses, demanding from the organizations adaptation and development in new ways to compete and to differ of the competition. Before this scenery, the higher education institutions cannot be exciuded of that reality. especially the degree course in Administration, because it intends to prepare the academics for performance in the job market. Like this, with coming of the technology of the information, the education assumes new paper, becoming more important than it was always, because it is necessary to leam always more and better, more and more fast. The higher education institutions, for theni to answer to the new patterns demanded by the new realities and, mainly, for them to be competitive, they should incorporate new technologies to change your functions, your teaching methods and your educational materiais. Studying the involvement of the technologies of the information in the process of construction of the knowledge, this research has as general objective to verify the use of the teclinologies of the information for the faculty as support resource in the process of construction of the academics knowledge, identifying the difficulties found for the effective use in the classes in the degree course in Administration of the Regional University of Blumenau - FURB. The technology of the information considered in the study it is represented by computer science laboratories, softwares, projectors multimedia and computers with access the Web. The developed research is descriptive, of the type rising survey, being the quantitative and qualitative method and with instrument of coilection of data:questionnaire, structured, not disguised, composed of open and closed questions, dichotomy and chained. The research was accomplished with the teachers that supplied disciplines in the first semester of 2002 in the degree course in Administration, totaling 67 educational. The instrument of coilection of data used it was a questionnaire focused in the use of the technology of the information and in the perception of the importance of the technology use as support resource to the process of construction of the academics knowledge. The results evidence that the technologies of the information, available in the institution, they are being used, and the faculty notices the importance of the use of the technologies of the information as support resource in the process of construction of the knowledge.
