O alinhamento entre a estratégia de negócio e a estratégia da tecnologia da informação: um estudo na Universidade Regional de Blumenau (FURB)

RESUMO

The use of information technology is even more present in organizations and especially in the educational ones. Besides making available data that may aid in the decision process and in the business administration, the technologies of information has been assuming a strong strategic paper inside of the organizations. Studies about alignment of Business Strategy and Information Technology Strategies have been a constant in several events and in the literature of the strategy area. However, few are the works that approach the alignment between business strategy and information technology strategies in educational organizations. So the present work identifies the alignment between the Business Strategy and the Information Technologie Strategies in the Universidade Regional de Blumenau/FURB - Santa Catarina. Qualitative and exploratory methods were used in this research, collecting data from questionnaire and interview. In order to analyze the answers and for each data collecting of research instruments, it was used the calculation, the simple arithmetic average and the standard deviation of the answers. In general, it can be inferred that the researched university has a medium level in the Business Strategy area. Relating the IT (Information Technology) strategies , it was possible to verify that researched university had no elements that could differentiate it of the other Higher Education Institutions. It may be observed that the studied university is not alignment between Business Strategy and Information Technology Strategy of Technology of the information. It suggests that IT has not been used as a strategy to reach competitive advantage, but serving only as operational support
