RESUMO

Monitoring is well known since the early days, but has been recognized by the Academy only in the last twenty years, because of its capacity for new talents formation. This is of the greatest importance when traditional enterprises have been breakdown or their control were sold to international groups. This paper studies the correlation between the well succeeded succession in familiar enterprises and the formation of its heirs by the monitoring process, using KramÂs model ( 1985 ). Three organizations of the state of Pernambuco, that suffered a succession process in the last years, were selected for the survey. It was also examined the enterprise power structure before and after the first familiar succession process, analyzing the impact of its administration, the work relationships and the contribution for the enterprise success. This study was based on the Multidimensional Reflexive Model created by Alves ( 2003 ), using WeberÂs ( 1990 ) domination and power papers. We hope that this work will be able of helping and guiding heirs formation for a well-done familiar organization power transmission. This policy will minimize conflicts, contributing for the enterprises successes
