RESUMO
The objective of this study is to analyze the teaching of Mathematics in the Complemental Course of the Reforma Francisco Campos (1931-1942). This work gives pursuit to the studies about mathematical education history in Brazil accomplished by GHEMA T - Group of Research of History of Mathematical Education. The investigation has considered methodological theoretical bases, above ali on the school discipline history area. The following questions were considered as the main points of this work: How would have been really implanted the Complemental Course? How were the mathematical contents organized for the teaching in that Course? What is possible to say about the mathematics teachings taught on the Complemental Course period? These subjects send us to our research problem: Was the Mathematics on the Complemental Course a school discipline? Finally, we also have hypotheses linked to the origins of Mathematics that we taught in the Medium Teaching nowadays. The main result of the research points to the non constitution of the discipline of the teaching of Mathematics in the Complemental Course períod
