RESUMO

This dissertation investigates the feminine work outÂs consumption experience which takes place through the use of advanced technologies and our assumption is that this is a body techinique practiced by the contemporary women. ItÂs a product of the technocultureÂs images, which gives and disseminates values for the consumer society which is the creator of âownedâ and accelerated bodies. The experience was showned as being an alienated consumption, which feeds the narcisism that discharges in the practitioner subjectÂs symbolic death. A sacrifice ritual exerted in the name of the âperfect healthâ, and because of it, paradoxical. We use the ethnographic approach which the field was a gym academy. We elaborate a thick description of the dailyÂs subject absorbed in the act intending to iluminate the relations that she establishes with the [I]material world that helps her to signify the experience that culminates in the social assent
