13. Inversão sísmica para impedância acústica na caracterização de reservatórios : impacto da extração da wavelet e do aumento da banda de frequências / Seismic inversion to acoustic impedance in reservoir caracterization : the impact of wavelet extraction and increase the frequency band
The substrates that constitute a reservoir are identified using seismic data. The process consists of determining reservoir petrophysical properties. However, sub-seismic layers structures are masked due to the limitation of conventional seismic data. The failure provided by these data produces an erroneous model of reservoir. The lack of vertical resolution

14. Métodos geoestatísticos de co-estimativas: aplicação aos dados do Campo Escola de Namorado / Co-estimation geostatistical methods: applications to the Namorado Oil Field data
Data used for studying petroleum reservoirs are obtained through drill core, well logs, seismic records and, as a consequence, they present different sampling scales. Multivariate geostatistics is a manner of integrating these data in order to co-estimate a poorly sampled variable based not only on its own information but also on a densely sampled variable.

15. Seismic data inversion by cross-hole tomography using geometrically uniform spatial coverage
One of the inversion schemes most employed in seismic tomography processing is least squares and derived algorithms, using as input data the vector of first arrivals. A division of the whole space between sources and receivers is performed, constructing a pixel model with its elements of the same size. Spatial coverage is defined, then, as the sum of travele

16. Estudo do potencial da técnica de nanossísmica para o monitoramento de hidrofraturamento em reservatórios de hidrocarbonetos
Hydraulic fracturing is an operation in which pressurised fluid is injected in the geological formation surrounding the producing well to create new permeable paths for hydrocarbons. The injection of such fluids in the reservoir induces seismic events. The measurement of this reservoir stimulation can be made by location these induced microseismic events. Ho

17. Estrutura e evolução dos cordões arenosos pleistocênicos no canal de acesso à Laguna dos Patos-RS, Brasil
This work presents the results of a high-resolution seismic reflection data survey carried out in the Patos lagoon inlet, near Rio Grande the southernmost harbor of Brazil. The analysis of the reflection patterns reveals the presence of transgressive/regressive barrier structures and beach/foredune-ridges. The mapping of these barrier structures allows a bet

18. Visualização volumétrica aplicada às Geociências
This paper is on volume visualization of spatial data. It aims at showing new possibilities to visualize three-dimensional phenomena such as geology, soils, geophysics, seismic and the like. The use of volumes in the evaluation processes allows one to visualize and to explore the phenomenon as a continuous body in space, thus incorporating the third dimensio

19. Tectônica e sedimentação na Bacia do Camaquã Central (RS): exemplos do Grupo Guaritas e do Grupo Santa Bárbara / Tectonics and sedimentation in Central Camaquã Basin: the Guaritas Group and the Santa Bárbara Group
The relationship between tectonics and sedimentation plays a primordial role in the understanding of sedimentary successions. On the other hand, the study of pre-Silurian fluvial deposits represents a challenge due to the lack of interaction between land plants and river systems which characterizes post-Silurian environments. The Camaquã Basin (Ediacaran to

20. Arquitetura estratigráfica e arcabouço estrutural dos depósitos fluviais albianos da base da Formação São Mateus no Norte da Bacia do Espírito Santo
The main aim of this dissertation is make at the high-resolution stratigraphic subdivision of the basal section from the São Mateus Formation, Albian the Espírito Santo Basin. The interval studied is consists predominantly of alluvial deposits. Against the difficulties presented for the stratigraphic correlation of these deposits, as discussed by Wright &M

21. REGISTRO DE SÍSMICA 3D A DADOS DE POÇOS / REGISTRATION OF 3D SEISMIC TO WELL DATA
Data acquired directly from borehole are more reliable than seismic data, and then, the first can be used to adjust the second. This work proposes the correction of a volume of seismic amplitudes through a three step algorithm. The first step is the identification of common features in both sets using a pattern recognition algorithm. The second step consists

22. USING POINT BASED TECHNIQUES FOR SEISMIC HORIZONS VISUALIZATION / USO DE TÉCNICAS BASEADAS EM PONTOS PARA VISUALIZAÇÃO DE HORIZONTES SÍSMICOS
Seismic horizon visualization stands as an important knowledge area used to support exploration on the oil industry. Different techniques currently employed to render this kind of surfaces are usually based on polygonal meshes generation, which benefits from graphics boards optimization on drawing triangles. This work is an evaluation of Point Based renderin

23. Mamíferos marinhos, a atividade de prospecção sísmica e o uso do Sistema de Monitoramento de Mamíferos Marinhos - SIMMAM
Since 1999, a large amount of data on marine mammals sightings has been collected by observers on board during the conduct of seismic surveys in the Brazilian coast. This is one of the mitigating measures adopted to minimize the potential impact that the activity carries on marine species. The information gathered up the necessary documents for the process o

24. MODELAGEM 3D DE PRESSÃO DE POROS A PARTIR DE DADOS DE POÇOS / 3D PORE PRESSURE MODELING FROM WELL DATA
Tridimensional (3D) modeling of pore pressure gradient is usually based on seismic data and calibrated with well data. Tridimensional models based exclusively in well data are not common in the oil industry. However, well data are regulary used to derive unidimensional models of the pore pressure gradient. The current work presents 3D models of pore pressure
