1. Investigation of some properties of gluten-free tarhanas produced by red, green and yellow lentil whole flour
Abstract Gluten-free lentil tarhanas were obtained by replacing red, green and yellow lentil whole flour instead of wheat flour used in traditional tarhana formulation. Some physical, chemical, bioactive, microbiological, reological, morphological and sensory properties of these tarhanas were investigated comparatively. Amount of crude protein (%), crude ash

2. Efficiency of treatments for controlling Trichoderma spp during spawning in cultivation of lignicolous mushrooms
Trichoderma spp is the cause of the green mold disease in mushroom cultivation production. Many disinfection treatments are commonly applied to lignocellulose substrates to prevent contamination. Mushroom growers are usually worried about the contaminations that may occur after these treatments during handling or spawning. The aim of this paper is to estimat

3. Stability of porridge pre-mixture made with Brazil nut flour and green banana flour with and without milk powder
The mixture of Brazil nut flour and green banana flour can improve the nutritional value of school meals, allowing for the use of regional ingredients derived from family agriculture. This study aimed to assess the stability of porridge pre-mixtures made with Brazil nut flour and green banana flour during six months of storage. Two types of pre-mixture were

4. Efficacy and mode of action of yeast antagonists for control of Penicillium digitatum in oranges
Three yeast antagonists (two strains of Cryptococcus laurentii and one of Candida sake) from orange trees reduced incidence of green mold by 80 to 95% when tested in wounded orange fruits inoculated with Penicillium digitatum and incubated at 7ºC for 30 days. The yeasts inhibited conidial germination of the pathogen, but did not kill the spores. Effectivene

5. Controle do bolor verde em citros com produtos alternativos aos agroquímicos / Control of green mold in citrus with alternatives to pesticides

7. Post-harvest citrus diseases: Potential of the Lentinula edodes, Agaricus blazei, jasmonic acid, mesocarp (Citrus sinensis var. Valência) and epicarp (Citrus aurantifolia var. Tahiti) in the control and in the resistance induction / Doenças pós-colheita em citros: potencial do Lentinula edodes, Agaricus blazei, ácido jasmônico, albedo (Citrus sinensis var. Valência) e flavedo (Citrus aurantifolia var. Tahiti) no controle e na indução de resistência
Brazil is considered the biggest citrus producer and the biggest orange juice exporter. Post-harvest diseases represent a great loss in the citriculture, and for many fruits to be exported they should be free of chemical residues. In relation to some pathogens of importance in post-harvest it can be mentioned Guignardia citricarpa (black-spot-ofcitrus), Peni

8. The use of stereolithography rapid tools in the manufacturing of metal powder injection molding parts
The utilization of stereolithography molds in the manufacture pre-series for injection molded plastic parts aims to reduce costs throughout the product life-time, but mainly during design and manufacturing phases. The use of this Rapid Tooling technique in powder metal injection molding is evaluated in this work. One of the greatest differences between tradi

9. Physiological and technological studies of fresh-cut cauliflower and salad rocket. / Estudos fisiológicos e tecnológicos de couve-flor e rúcula minimamente processadas.
This work aimed at evaluating the effects of temperature on the metabolism of minimally processed and intact cauliflowers and salad rockets, and of different packaging materials on the quality of cauliflower florets and loose salad rocket minimally processed leaves. In the first experiment, intact cauliflowers, florets, intact salad rockets and loose salad r

10. Effect of rheological properties of zircon-alumina suspensions on density of green casts
Rheological properties of aqueous suspensions (48 vol%) of zircon-alumina mixtures containing different amounts of polyelectrolyte as dispersant were studied. Slip casting in a plaster mold and pressure filtration at 8 MPa experiments were performed to correlate the rheological properties of the suspensions with the relative density of green casts. Flow curv

11. Estudo "in vitro" da rugosidade produzida pela escovação na superficie de resinas compostas
The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the surface roughness of Herculite XR V, Z 100 and T etric composite samples, finished and polished under the action of the tooth-brushltoothpaste binomial. A set of fifty-six 8 mm diameter, 2 mm thick samples was prepared for each studied material, using the incremental technique for mold filling. A sixty sec
