RESUMO

This research focuses on display applications of MODIS (Moderate Resolution Spectroradiometer) and the different types of its products. The MODIS was design for analysis of changes on a global scale, thus having different environmental applications. This sensor has 36 bands and 44 products for different types of searches. The spatial resolution of MODIS images varies from 250m to 1km depending on the band or product to be analyzed. The product MOD13Q1 from the level 3 of the MODIS sensor is a product specifically for acquiring information of NDVI (Vegetation Index Normalized Difference by) with spatial resolution of 250 m, and spatial resolution of 16 days, and has two vegetation indices: NDVI and EVI (Enhanced Vegetation Index); Two images with information from certifying product quality NDVI and EVI (quality EVI and quality NDVI), reflectance images RED, BLUE, NIR and MIR; Three images relating to a data acquisition , corresponding to viewing angle, solar zenith angle and azimuth. The MOD43B3 product is a product of surface albedo from MODIS that contains the first seven bands of MODIS and other simulated three bands with wide spectral range. The MOD11 is a product of level 2 data provides surface temperature (LST - Land Surface Temperature) and emissivity (E) daily surface with spatial resolution of 1 km, this consists of daytime and nighttime LSTs, as assessment, observation times, look angles, coverage of clear sky and estimated emissivities in bands 31 and 32 for types of land cover. In this study we used only products related to NDVI, EVI, temperature and albedo images of the MODIS/Terra. These products were evaluated in a study on Pajeà river basin (UP9 - Water Resources Planning Unit 9), which is located in Pernambuco state, specifically in the mesorregion of SertÃo Pernambucano and San Francisco. The river basin involves the microrregion of Pajeà in its totality, and part of SertÃo do MoxotÃ, Salgueiro and itaparica. The political-administrative area covers a total of 27 municipalities. In the area there is a predominance of crystalline rocks at a rate of 86.3% and 11.7% represent sedimentary deposits and the remaining 2% belong to the alluvial soils. The relief is divided between flat and wavy, with savanna vegetation bushes and trees for the most part. The soil types most prevalent in the area are the type Luvissol, Ultisol Solodi and Neossolos (NC,Os and R). In this work, the parameters extracted from the images were compared with soil data contained in ZAPE (Agroecological Zoning of Pernambuco) developed by EMBRAPA soil and superposed on maps of the transposition of the SÃo Francisco River that flows through a small strip of the basin but may cause important in this area with civil works. The objectives were therefore: to analyze the variation of the vegetation in the basin from multitemporal images of NDVI and EVI; analyze the behavior of temperature in the basin, and analyze the distribution of albedo over the region from a multitemporal analysis. A thematic mapping of the river basin was developed and shows that MODIS images are important for spatial analysis, temporal and spectral basin
