RESUMO

Reability of an component is the probability that it perform its functions under specific conditions. Unlike the concept of reliability is the concept of risk, which is defined as the probability of failure versus the cost associating with such failure. Mathematical models are often used in engineering projects and the analysis of reliability, robustness and vulnerability of such projects. This work has as main objectives the abstraction of an electrical network, which is defined as a graph with weights on the edges and corners, using it as a tool in the study of probabilistic risk assessment, in addition to the indication of all tooling necessary to the first goal. Results are obtained in respect of distributions statistics, results on the definition of functions of probability on combinatorial structures, defined as polynomials of Tutte to four variables and computational results from simulations on actual electrical networks
