RESUMO
Considerations on superior performance and strategies that would allow firms to reach it were always present, in higher or smaller degree, in the organizations. To understand the reasons of the success and the means that take the organizations reach its sustainable competitive advantage became a major area of research. In this context, the perspective Resource-Based View of the Firm â âRBVâ, emerged in the last two decades to become the dominant contemporary perspective in the research of strategic content, mainly for combining analytic rigour and relevance in the administrative practice in both a efficient and effective way. To the intent to explore certain issues that still lay unconcluded in this perspective, as identifying which resources would take to a superior firm performance, the present work propose to study the existence of associations among the intangible strategic resources with strategic potential, reputation, know-how and organizational culture, with the financial performance of the largest Brazilian companies and, secondarily, to analyze common haracteristics of their organizational culture
