Projetos de orientação sexual na escola : seus limites e suas possibilidades

RESUMO

This study has its main objective to identify the limits and pedagogical possibilities national curricular parameters (PCN) to the development of projects of the transverse subject sexuality at school. The proposal of the PCN to sexual orientation is based on the fact that the school must treat the sexuality as a fundamental element of life in society, considering a polemic and ample subject, ultidimensional, demarcated by history, by culture and social evolution. On this way, our investigations start from the following questioning: a) What are the limits of these possibilities present in the PCN that obstruct the implantation and development of projects that contribute effectively for the construction of the students sexuality? b) What are the pedagogical elements that are present in the projects of sexual orientation at school, developed or in development, that contribute positively for the students sexuality? These questionings have been converted in questions to be investigated, like: a) Identify the difficulties faced by teachers and school board, as well as the nature and dimension where these obstacles belong, as regards the implantation and implementation of the sexual orientation projects. b) Identify the pedagogical elements that are present in the development of sexual orientation projects in the investigated schools that contribute effectively for the construction of the students sexuality. To answer these questions, this study has investigated three basic public schools in the state of Paraná, where registers have been collected in questionnaires and interviews with the school board and teachers. With the collected data, we have made a qualitative analysis, grouping the speeches and answers. According to the regularities found, converting in categories, to know: 1) Origin and project organization; 2) Planning, taking of decisions and involvement of the community in the project; 3) Identification of a problem, the sharing of ideas and discussion of priorities; 4) Integration of sexuality with the axis - body, gender and sexually transmitted disease (DST), proposed by the PCN, in the many areas of knowledge; 5) Parents authorization and resistance; 6) Polemic issues (homosexuality, masturbation, abortion, rape, etc); 7) Methodology applied; 8) Established partnerships; 9) Project emphasis; 10) Project efficiency. Based on the obtained results, we can consider that the implemented projects in the investigated schools have as pedagogical possibilities the construction of sexuality and the personal and social development of the students, corroborating the proposal suggested by the PCN. On the other hand, the projects about sexuality have pedagogical limits for the full development, as regards the resistance of teachers in talking about this issue, - to the deficiency of the first and the continuous formation of the teachers about this multifaceted subject, - the lack of parents contribution in the planning and development of the projects, as well as the not so flexible attitude of parents that resist or restrain the participation of their children in the projects, - to the continuous and systematic deficiency of upgrading the other school agents over the aforesaid subject and the difficulties that the school find in keeping the partnerships with other portions of the society to assist the development of sexual orientation projects.
