Cidadania na escola: entre limites e possibilidades




The objective of this research is to analyze how the citizenship materializes in school, considering the curricular and methodological characteristics of the teacher. The research is part of the thematic focal point: Education, Philosophy and Knowledge and of the line: Pedagogical Processes and Methods. It reflects about the conceptual questions and forms of transpositions of the citizenship in the school environment situating categories and difficulties in the discursive and methodological operations as part of the citizen learning process. The investigation also includes the study of citizenship expressed by childrens voice, in face of actions already developed by the school. In the theoretical base formed by the interlocution among progressive authors, the research sustains its analysis in the instruments of data collect that were: game application, questionnaire, direct observation, and moments of intervention among the children. Among the most meaningful results of teachers are the localization of approaches with the cognitive citizenship and the dichotomy between speech and methodology originating from the contradictions of the school system. About the students, the absence of knowledge about the local space opposes to the objectives of articulation among the different spheres of interaction, besides the observation of silence and difficulty of working in group. From the moments of intervention we can distinguish the improvement in participation, better local knowledge and important evidences of autonomy, important prerogatives for the citizens personal and social formation
