RESUMO

This dissertation comes to discuss the reality of the slums along side of rails of the city of Fortaleza, specifically the communities of Boba (FÃtima Block) e Maravilha (Aeroporto Block) since 1985 to 2001. It discusses the meaning of âareas of riskâ today hold the political of interventions in slums that before of the decade of 80, unless were registered, like having movements of residents along side of rails, at beginning under danger of fire or explosions for the transport of inflammable load (Like derivate of gasoline). We can observe that in spite of this situation, this kind of risk do not take the public power to act like in others slums along side of watersâ courses. Of this manner, these slums along side of rails maintain themselves almost equals since the decade of 30, permitting the development of communities practice and the living together with the train. We can observe that this peculiar place, in Unionsâ earth do not attract the imobilliary interest, at along side of rails that maintain and secure the permanence of these communities at long of the decades
