Os saberes prÃticos docentes em ambiente informatizado : uma anÃlise da reconstruÃÃo de professores de MatemÃtica

RESUMO

After the use of computers in education, a great deal of different uses that in the classroom in different types of school became part of the everyday practice. That has been the object of researches due to the lack of knowledge by teachers in this field. To design a lesson, especially a computer besed lesson, teachers in genral try to make use of the knowledge acquired along their formal education or along teaching practice.In this sense, this study aims at identifying and classfying the type of knowledge maths teachers have which may be determinant when dealinh with computers with the purpose of making these teachers functional users when teaching that subject in a Teaching Maths Cours. To accomplish this study, we made use of theories by Maurice Tardif, especially Teorias dos Saberes Docentes, which characterizes teachers behaviours, the theory by Sandra Azzi that deals with teachers everyday thoughts as well as Judah L. SchwartzÂs ideas os how to develop a software that may match these contents. Along the development of this research we applied specific methodological procedures that made use of semi-structered interviews among six mathematics teachers of two private schools due to the fact these schools use computers as additional tools systematically in their everyday practice.To accomplish that, we chose the opinions of eight teachers who work in distinct areas , counting on the support of two mathematics teachers and a technician on computer science who works in a computer laboratory whose duty was that of judging these eight teachersÂperformance . Besides the interview, we took into consideration the relationship between the teachers and the tecnician who works as a coordinator of the mentioned computer laboratiry. An analysis of the practical use of the computers as a tool in the teaching and learning process by teachers and students showed that it comes connected with the process of acquiring knowledge through pedagoggical and didctic approaches in general. We could observe that those teachers who develop their own software to be used in the classroom find out that in practice, there is a lack of technological knowledge they have concerning their formal education and that brings great difficulties to them at the moment they need to develop their own software. It would be much more easier if they could count on this type oknowledge besides the regular contents of the subject they deal with
