RESUMO
Information Technology Services Marketing - New Challenges and Opportunities The global economy at the end of this century reveals two strong trends which have significant impact on the concepts and practices of marketing: first, the predominance of the services sector in the national economies; second, the information technology (IT) as one of the most dynamic sectors leveraging economic growth. In Brazil, there is a lack of recent studies which analyze the particular issues of services marketing in the IT Industry, as well as the need for special educational programs to develop the marketing skills of the IT professionals. This study discusses these issues, as well as the opportunities and challenges of the IT industry, in order to contribute to the education and practices of IT services marketing in Brazil.
