The author asssessed the efficay of rehabilitaton program for forty-six patients who had undergone lumbar disk microsurgery. Describe the rehabilitation program, as the evaluation methodology that are the core of this present experimental model. The patients were dividded in three groups, the first one made therapeutics exercises, supervised by a physioterapist in his home, owning orientations in the hospital by write and verbal ways. The second group, received the same treatment that the first one, adding a lumbar corset always that he lets bed or wash himself for the next two weeks after lumbar procedure. The third group, only received the hospitalar orientation as the first two groups. The groups are avaliable before and after two weeks of surgery, using the pain analog scale, SF-36 for life quality, functional reach and flexicurve method for postural changes. We constated that the patients using the corset or doing the therapeutics exercises had the same results that the orientation group about the care of atividade diary life for the next two weeks. Therefore, the services that adopted any of this kind of rehabilitation will have significative evolution during the next two weeks after the microsurgery for lumbar herniation.
