RESUMO

Among the biggest challenges of the Project Management Offices (PMO) of Information Technology (IT) is to generate strategical value for the organization where he is inserted and to contribute with the IT Governance. Recent research had demonstrated that one parcel out significant of internal customers, mainly sponsors, donÂt know its strategical importance for the organization. With this, the performance of the PMO of IT is limited to an operational perspective. In view of this non favorable scene, identifies necessity to propose a model of strategical performance for the PMO of IT. However, proposals of models of strategical performance of PMO are scarce, generic and they do not consider the paper of the PMO of IT in the catalysis of the IT Governance. Observe the necessity of definition of a proposal of model of strategical performance of the PMO of IT considering its paper in the IT Governance and the alignment of the projects of IT to the enterprise strategies. The proposal of this work is to define lines of direction of a model of strategical performance of PMO from departments of IT that it can contribute for the IT Governance and consequently to make possible the alignment of IT to the business strategies. The methodology used for elaboration of the lines of direction of this work is constituted by bibliographical research, documentary and in a study of case in organizations that possess PMO of IT, searching constatate the actuation of the PMO. This work concludes that the PMO of IT of the organizations acts in operational way, without considering its capacity of strategical performance.
