RESUMO

The aim of this study is to discuss transformations suffered by the health hand labor in Brazil, in the beginning of 90 years, by the point of view of workerâs qualification and their employability. First historic health Brazilian data are shown, then the organizational change and its more important points. Later the news demand of labor market to keep he formal jobs, based on Human Capital, Post-Fordism and Wrigth analyze classesâ theories and other points of view about the subject. This work is a quantitative research that used secondary data of PNAD (National Research by model of residence) of Brazil, from 1988 to 1996, which allowed a longitudinal analysis, trying to explain the changes that happen to the workers of the health during this time. Results permitted to verify that by the years, there isnât a positive effect from workerâs qualification over employability, to get a boss job or earn better salary to the ones that work in this kind of occupations. The conclusion of this study is that all the request for more workerâs qualification seems to be just to economize money with trainings or courses to qualify them
