RESUMO

Four babies, of eight to tem months old, medium-high social economic level, who attends to a nursery at Lago Sul, BrasÃlia â DF were the subjects of the present study: two experimental babies and two control babies. A precocious stimulation study was developed through the multiple base line, with the use of three activities: âThrowing Ballâ, âOvercome Obstaclesâ and âWhere is the Toy? The results favored the experimental babies, who seemed to be more in the implicit social interaction aspect, essentially in the âThrowing ballâ activity, in which babies received and turned the ball back to their partner. Regarding the reaction to the object search, they presented conservation to the object as well as to its movements, anticipating fifth phase typical reactions, third circular reactions. The reaction to overcoming obstacles was frankly achieved, which demonstrates associativeness of practical operations and creativity towards new situations. The precocious stimulation presented itself as an excellent way for the baby development in its affective, cognitive and social dimensions.
