1. PROPERTIES OF PARTICLEBOARD PANELS MADE OF SUGARCANE PARTICLES WITH AND WITHOUT HEAT TREATMENT

3. Relaxation incisions and tensile strength in the abdominal wall of pigs
Abstract Purpose To analyze the resistance to medial traction of abdominal wall muscles, before and after performing relaxing incisions. Methods Seventeen live pigs were used. After a median laparotomy, the handles were made in the rectus abdominis muscles (RAM) to fit the dynamometer. Step 1 (control phase): tensile strength measured without performing re

5. Evaluation of Tensile Strength of a Eucalyptus grandis and Eucalyptus urophyla Hybrid in Wood Beams Bonded Together by Means of Finger Joints and Polyurethane-Based Glue
Created in the 1940s, the splice finger-joint type for wood has now been more used to compose structural materials wood base as Glued Laminated Timber (Glulam) and Cross Laminated Timber (CLT). The main advantage of this amendment is to provide a simple and economical way to join timber parts on segments. This study evaluated by means of tensile tests the ca

6. Thermomechanical Analysis on Ti-Ni Shape Memory Helical Springs Under Cyclic Tensile Loads
Shape memory alloys (SMAs) present some characteristics, which make it unique material to be use in applications that require strength and shape recovery. This alloys was been used to manufacture smart actuators for mechanical industry devices and several other applications in areas as medicine, robotics, aerospace, petroleum and gas industries. However it i

7. Study of mechanical properties and durability of magnesium phosphate cement matrix containing grinding dust
The acid-base cements are materials developed by means of reactions between an acid component and another basic one. This type cement belongs to the family of the so called "chemically bonded phosphate ceramics" (CBPCs), new types of inorganic materials that have special physico-chemical properties and that, in contrast to most advanced ceramics, are made by

8. Pigment effect on the long term elasticity of elastomeric ligatures
OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the response of elastomeric ligatures in several colors for a 4 mm traction over time. METHODS: Morelli® elastomeric ligatures, were submitted to traction forces using two rods of circular cross section, until a 4 mm distance was reached, matching the approximate diameter of an upper central incisor bracket of the same manufacturer. 9. DESEMPENHO DE UMA SEMEADORA-ADUBADORA E MÉTODOS DE APLICAÇÃO DE INSETICIDAS NO SULCO EM PLANTIO DIRETO / PERFORMANCE OF A PLANTER AND EFFICIENCY OF INSECTICIDES APPLIED IN THE GROOVE OF SEEDING TILLAGE
No-tillage was only possible with the development of machines to work on specific seeding soils with straw on the surface, equipped with a plow blade and to facilitate the deposition of seed in the soil depths in uniform and with reduced tillage in furrow, in conditions conducive to germination / seedling emergence and root growth good for the crop. However,

10. ANÁLISE DE DESEMPENHO EM TRAÇÃO DE RODADO SIMPLES E DUPLO EM UM TRATOR AGRÍCOLA / ANALYSIS OF TRACTION PERFORMANCE OF SINGLE AND DUAL TIRES IN AN AGRICULTURAL TRACTOR
A major problem of agricultural tractor during several operations in which it is used is the difficulty of working in various moisture conditions and soil types affect your ability to traction force, slip and fuel consumption. What has been observed is that with increased contact surface between the tire of the tractor and the ground, there is the possibilit

12. ANALYSIS EX VIVO BIOMECHANICS OF TWO METHODS OF OSTEOSYNTHESIS OF PELVIS IN DOGS / ANÁLISE BIOMECÂNICA EX VIVO DE DOIS MÉTODOS DE OSTEOSSÍNTESE DE PELVE EM CÃES
Approximately 25% of all fractures in dogs involve the pelvis, of which 18-46% are iliac fractures. Conservative treatment can be performed in simple cases where minimum displacement occurs fractured fragments. However when there is severe displacement of the fragments, pelvic canal narrowing and involvement of weight bearing, surgical fixation is indicated.
