25. Soil profile, relief features and their relation to structure and distribution of Brazilian Atlantic rain forest trees
In tropical forests, the environmental heterogeneity can provide niche partitioning at local scales and determine the diversity and plant species distribution. Thus, this study aimed to investigate the variations of tree species structure and distribution in response to relief and soil profile features in a portion of the largest remnant of Brazilian Atlanti

26. Distribuição espacial e temporal de placas de esterco e produtividade da soja em sistema de interação soja-bovinos de corte / Spatial and temporal distribuition of dung and soybean yield in integrated soybean-beef cattle system
This study was conducted at Planalto Médio region, RS, in the experimental protocol of long duration, between July 2010 and April 2011, consisting of two experiments. In Experiment 1 it was realized samples of dung, in intervals of 20 days in each treatment of sward height (10, 20, 30 and 40 cm). Six evaluations were amounted from that period have been mark

27. Active sensor as a tool for nitrogen application in spring wheat / Sensor óptico ativo como ferramenta para aplicação de nitrogênio na cultura do trigo
Nitrogen fertilization in spring wheat in southern Brazil is based on yield potential, soil organic matter and previous crop. These variables are not precise and subjected to errors, resulting on N losses and yield potential reduction. For N fertilization, it is necessary to quantify plant N nutritional status to determine top dressing N rates to be applied.

28. Physiological and symbiotic diversity of Cupriavidus necator strains isolated from nodules of Leguminosae species
Biological nitrogen fixation, performed by diazotrophic bacteria, plays an important role in the maintenance of agricultural systems, as it contributes with significant amounts of the nitrogen (N) needed for plant growth, totally or partially exempting the use of industrial N fertilisers. Twenty-five bacterial strains isolated from nodules of Leucaena leucoc

29. Rizobactérias promovem o crescimento de feijoeiro-comum e de milho por diferentes processos / Rhizobacteria promote growth of common bean and maize by different processes
Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) promote the growth of legumes and non-legume plants enhancing their nutrition, mainly of nitrogen and phosphorus. For this purpose, these bacteria make use of mechanisms such as solubilization of insoluble inorganic phosphate, plant growth hormone production and biological fixation of nitrogen in the rhizosphere, i

Accumulation of nutrients and heavy metals in soil, water and fruits in areas cultivated with vegetables in the Agretes region of Pernambuco state.
Increasing world population elevates the demand for food. Then, it s a constant challenge to ensure food with quantity and quality appropriate. The management of soil fertility using fertilizers and controlling pests and weeds are necessary strategies for maintaining or increasing agricultural production. Agrochemicals are anthropogenic sources potentially p

33. Uso de nitrogênio no cultivo de arroz irrigado e seus efeitos no solo, na planta e na emissão de óxido nitroso / Use of nitrogen in the cultivation of rice and its effects on soil, lant and nitrous oxide emission
In wetland soils are countless electrochemical changes, among the most influenced by anaerobic conditions is nitrogen. The rice crop also determine changes in the process, either by the nutrient uptake or by changes in the rhizosphere. The nitrogen can guarantee high yields of rice, however, due to the inadequate use of nitrogen can have nitrous oxide, which

34. Spatial variability of some biometric attributes of sugarcane plants (variety IACSP93-3046) and its relation to physical and chemical soil attributes.
Tests to evaluate competition between plants, in general do not consider the soil spatial variability, nevertheless, the uniformity rarely is present and can not be assumed without verification. The aim of this work was to apply geostatistics to verify the spatial variability of the soil in an experimental field near Ribeirão Preto, SP, with sugarcane varie

35. Nitrogen use efficiency in upland rice genotypes.
Nitrogen (N) deficiency is one of the most yield-limiting nutrients in upland rice growing regions word wide. A greenhouse experiment was conducted with the objective to evaluate nineteen upland rice (Oryza sativa. L.) genotypes for N use efficiency. The soil used in the experiment was an Oxisol and two N levels used were without N application (low level) an
