1. Ruido magnético Barkhausen para el estudio de la anisotropía magnética en aceros inoxidables
ABSTRACT The magnetic Barkhausen noise (MBN) is a phenomenon that occurs in ferromagnetic materials when they are exposed to slowly varying magnetic fields, generating discrete jumps in their magnetization. These jumps are produced by the movement of the magnetic domain walls. They can be detected by a small coil allocated on the sample surface. The movement

2. Structure and Physical Properties of the LaBiFe2O6 Perovskite Produced by the Modified Pechini Method
In this paper the synthesis of the LaBiFe2O6 material by the modified Pechini method is reported. Structural, morphologic, magnetic and optic experimental studies were performed. Rietveld refinement of x-ray diffraction patterns revealed that LaBiFe2O6 crystallizes in an orthorhombic perovskite structure (space group Pnma, # 62). Scanning electron microscopy

3. Assessment of the diagnostic value of diffusion tensor imaging in patients with spinal cord compression: a meta-analysis
We investigated the diagnostic value of the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and fractional anisotropy (FA) of magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) in patients with spinal cord compression (SCC) using a meta-analysis framework. Multiple scientific literature databases were exhaustively searched to identify articles relevant to this study. Me

4. Properties of NGO 3% Silicon Steel Asymmetrically Cold Rolled
The effects of asymmetric and conventional deformations and annealing on the microstructure of non-grain-oriented (NGO) 3 wt% silicon steel were analyzed by x-ray diffraction, optical microscopy and magnetometry. The results suggest that pure asymmetric rolling tends to lessen magnetic losses. However, intermediate annealing resulted in lower planar anisotro

5. Comparative Study of Magnetic Properties and Microstructure for As-cast and Square-wave Pulse Current Joule Annealed Wires
We here report on a comparative study of the microstructure and magnetic properties of as-cast and SPCJA-ed Co-based wires for potential sensor applications. Experimental results indicate that both as-cast and SPCJA-ed wires exhibit typical amorphous feature. There also exists the enhanced local ordering degree of atomic arrangement and obvious transformatio

6. Influencia de la porosidad en las propiedades magnéticas de arreglos de nanohilos de Ni
ABSTRACTThe hysteresis properties of ordered arrays of Ni nanowires, electrodeposited into cylindrical nanoporous alumina membranes were investigated. The effect of the nanowire geometry (diameter and length), the array order and the nanowires' volume fraction on the array coercivity and remanence were analyzed. Porous alumina membranes were produced by a tw

7. Segmented corpus callosum diffusivity correlates with the Expanded Disability Status Scale score in the early stages of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis
OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to characterize the microscopic damage to the corpus callosum in relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) with diffusion tensor imaging and to investigate the correlation of this damage with disability. The diffusion tensor imaging parameters of fractional anisotropy and mean diffusivity provide information about th

8. Crescimento, estrutura e magnetismo de filmes ultrafinos de Ni depositados sobre Pd(100)
In this work, the growth mode, the structure and the magnetic behavior of ultrathin Ni films epitaxially grown over Pd(100) were investigated using in-situ experimental techniques ass RHEED, LEED, AES, MBE and MOKE, and ex-situ VSM. The objective was to study the influence of the stress induced by the lattice parameter mismatch of the materials (10,4%), the

9. Magnetostricção e Anisotropia Magnética de filmes de Cobalto em substratos de vidro e silício / Magnetostricção and magnetic anisotropy of cobalt films on glass substrates and silicon

Granite plutons located on the northeast of Cunhaporanga Intrusive Suite (Patrimônio Santo Antônio, Ouro Verde, São Domingos and Santa Rita) are emplaced into low grade metasedimentary rocks (Itaiacoca Group) of the Apiaí Domain (Ribeira Belt). Most of these plutons are isotropic with pinkish to grey colors and their compositions vary from monzogranite t

12. Evaluation of the anisotropy field for fine-particle systems from low-field thermomagnetic curves
A method for evaluating the temperaturedependent magnetic anisotropy field from thermomagnetic curves for Stoner–Wohlfarth-like systems is proposed. It allows the anisotropy parameters of a sample with unknown spontaneous magnetization to be obtained by using magnetic fields considerably lower than the anisotropy field.
