1. Dielectric and Raman spectroscopy studies of (Na0.5Bi0.5)TiO3 lead-free ceramic
Caracte

2. A ‘Universal’ Bottom-up Sol-gel Based Synthesis of Pzt (1-x)/x Submicrometric Structures: 1. Dynamic Light Scattering Characterization of Precursor Stability and Aggregation Kinetics
This work proposes an extension of a sol-gel based synthesis route for obtaining highly hydrophobic, uniformly nanosized and stable precursor solutions of lead zirconate titanate [Pb(Zr1-xTix)O3 or PZT (1-x)/x] for any given (1-x)/x Zr:Ti ratio. Several representative PZT compositions were chosen and their precursors were studied by taking into account the t

3. Shear wave propagation in piezoelectric-piezoelectric composite layered structure
The propagation behavior of shear wave in piezoelectric composite structure is investigated by two layer model presented in this approach. The composite structure comprises of piezoelectric layers of two different materials bonded alternatively. Dispersion equations are derived for propagation along the direction normal to the layering and in direction of la

4. Preparation and characterization of PbTi0(3) ceramics modified by a natural mixture of rare earth oxides of xenotime
Lead titanate ceramics modified by xenotime (Xm) with nominal composition (Pb, Xm)TiO3, Xm 10 or 15 mol %, were prepared by the conventional oxide mixture technique. Xenotime is a natural mineral consisting of a mixture of rare earth oxides. Thermal, structural and electric properties were investigated through differential and gravimetric thermal analysis, X

5. Preparação e Caracterização de Pós e Filmes De PbTiO3 obtidos pelo Método Pechini / Preparation and Characterization of Powders and Films From PbTiO3 obtained by Pechini method
Non-crystalline materials, commonly referred to as amorphous materials have attracted great interest in engineering and technology. This is due mainly to its photoluminescent properties at room temperature around 25 C. The aim of this study was the Pechini method in order to obtain ceramic powders and amorphous films of amorphous lead titanate. The lead tita

6. Pyroelectric composite film for X-ray intensity detection
Composite material obtained with modified lead titanate (Pz34) ferroelectric ceramic and polyether-ether-ketone (PEEK) polymer matrix was used as sensitive component to measure X-ray intensity in a novel detection system. The sensing element works as a thermal transducer, converting a non-quantified thermal flux into an output measurable quantity of electric
