RESUMO

The present work has as objective to deepen into the research of Klauss Vianna Technique as a corporal practice for constructing a scenic body by means of analyzing a personal process stemming from my experience as dancer, instructor and researcher of the movement. This thesis has four main axels: understanding Vianna’s principles and their unfolding on a contemporary scene; tracing the construction path of a scenic body that dances with a somatic approach; presenting a methodology of dance and somatic education teaching for children; and analyzing the creation of a dance in a choreographic staging of my own creation. The present research reflects on the contributions of the dance and the somatic education for the contemporary scene, contextualizing the scenic body issues from a somatic referential.
