RESUMO

The relation history between enterprises and environment has showed that the environment impacts resultant of productive activities has already endangered the planet future. So, all efforts to promote the sustainable development must be priority as academic, professional as social levels. Industrial residues specially, become possible to verify a great inefficiency in productive processes and as they affect the humanity life conditions directly. This study it is about the applicability of the Methodology of Cleaner Production, proposed for the UNEP/UNIDO, in great companies of civil construction of the sector of constructions of the Region Metropolitan of Recife, identifying the main characteristics of the management adopted for them, as well as if the principles of the Production Cleanest are total or partially applied in these companies. The inquiry was lead through interviews, with structuralized questionnaire, carried through in certified companies of civil construction related to the sector of constructions located in the Region Metropolitan of Recife. The research evidenced the profile of the environment management of the great constructors of the Recife/PE, and also to apply the principles of the P+L in the sector of form constructions to minimize residues in the source. The main contribution of this work was to demonstrate the possibility of action in the cause of the generation of the residues of the sector of civil construction, or either, breaching the paradigm that the waste are characteristic of the sector and the techniques of external recycling is the way to reduce the ambient degradation of constructive processes
