RESUMO

The focus of analysis of this study is the ethics of agrotourism in the town of Santa Rosa de Lima, in the State of Santa Catarina. This town is home to the Associação de Agricultores Ecológicos das Encostas da Serra Geral (Association of Ecological Farmers of the Slopes of the Serra Geral) - AGRECO, and the Associação de Agroturismo Acolhida na Colônia (Acolhida na Colônia Agrotourism Association) - AAAC, and is regarded as a role model for other agrotourism experiments in Brazil and worldwide. The main objective of this dissertation is to understand the present reality of agrotourism in Santa Rosa de Lima, observing the ethical aspects which govern the movement, in the region, based on the analysis of oral and written discourses. The methodological procedures used were bibliographical and document research, together with CSD (Collective Subject Discourse) analysis, taking into consideration the discourses of the bylaws on which the activity was based, and the reports of those involved with agrotourism in the town. In terms of research results, we gained an understanding of the reality of agrotourism in Santa Rosa de Lima, its ethical implications, its impacts, and the changes experienced by those living in the town.
