RESUMO

This study focuses on the changes of the pedagogic practice at Escola de Música Anthenor Navarro ? Paraíba (EMAN) wich took place in 2003. It was conceived as a qualitative study of the action research type, in wich we acted as a researcher, debate creator and critic of the proposal and actions emerging in the context reflexion-actionreflection, arisen from the First Circle of Pedagogical Studies of EMAN, It resulted from the investigation of the praxis proceeded by and with the teachers, whose objective was to generate subsidies for guiding the practice. It contributed for the development of new ways of considering the musical teaching as to those dimensions that shape and contextualize it. The effects of the Circle ? materialized in operations or actions like Political and Pedagogic Project, School Council and Emerging Teaching Stuctures ? indicated meaningful changes enlarging the involved teachers performance extent. Recommendations are given so that studies can be carried out to deepen the understanding of our profession, what would undoubtly strenghten our speaking influence concerning the musical teaching, since we would have, by doing so, free knowledge and discourse, derived from our own working area.
