Tipos de estratégias e estilos cognitivos gerenciais : um estudo de suas comparações em indústrias de pequeno e médio porte

RESUMO

This study has as objectives, to identify the types of adopted strategies and the managers cognitive style and to establish a comparison among those results, in small and medium-sized companies. For so much, the model proposed by Miles Snow (2003) was used; that classifies the types of strategies and the adapter-innovative Kirtons model (1976) that classifies the managers cognitive styles. The data that were collected in companies of the industry of porcelain of Campo Largo - PR, after having analyzed, they revealed that all the types of strategies proposed in the Miles Snows model were found, with a preference for a type in specific and that with relationship to the managers cognitive style, as follow Kirtons model, they were shown, in the totality of the companies, of the innovative type. In reference to the relationship between the strategy types and the managers of the researched companies cognitive style, it can be noticed that in the industry researched, there is coherency among what describes the theory of the used models and the collected data, once, analyzing the characteristics of each strategy type and of each cognition style, it is noticed that innovative managers tend to strategies of the type reactive or prospective.
