RESUMO

A technological solution for measurement and evaluation of prognostics indices (Metraton Project) consists in indices concept abstraction applied for therapy intensive units. Through the generation of scores, doctors can create metric to evaluate their patients and the efficiency of determined ICU indices. It was developed an indices factory witch the main objective is to supply a generic and differentiated solution. Through this proposal becomes unnecessary the individual software development for each index prognostic. To reach the results the index concept was abstracted and designed with the participation of doctors at work in University Cajuru Hospital and Santa Casa de Misericórdia Hospital both situated in Curitiba city (Paraná Brazil). The project was designed in three stages (i) creation of indices factory, (ii) a mechanism for reusing existing databases, (iii) the migration strategy of data hospital to Metraton bases. The solution is applicable in professional and academic environments. It was obtained 31.000 registers referring the Glasgow scale, 730 registers referring the APACHE II scale and 500 registers referring the Parsonnett scale. It was studied others indices such as SOFA, PRISM II e PSI Modified. The system validation was realized with real data obtained in the hospital databases. The Metraton project has presented a consistent solution that can be applied for intensive care unit contributing to the science advance in search of the better result in the treatment of patients.
