RESUMO

This work speaks of some of the disciplinary strategies that were used on the scholar relations from Colégio Santo Antônio , (confessional and private, kept by Congregação dos Padres Franciscanos ) located in Blumenau (SC), between 1932 and1942. The many power relations that can be noticed among teachers, students and rulers of this school, together with its singularities that could be, now, spotted, make the main objects for this investigation. The reason for picking this period lies in the creation of the Secondary Teaching in this institution. This matter enabled the recognition of which were the social conditions of producing and spreading the government strategies, and the subjective creation, that tried to rule the life of the individuals, also focusing the aspects of the rules of naturalization and the transgressions that confronted this procedure. The school was an institution based on the control, coercion, vigilance and improving of its students, whishing to create obedient and productive ones. For this process to be successful, disciplinary devices were employed, such as: space distribution; time ordination; the establishment of a relation between body and gestures, the elaboration of each act, the obligation of a frequent presence and of wearing a uniform, the tests, the rewards, the punishments. These were devices that forged ways of being and made ways of behaving on these subjects. In this way, it was sought to develop discussions about, for example, how the Church and its agents made one kind of social actor. What was tried to develop, was a search in a critic side that could fit in this devices, coming mainly from the studies of Michael Foucault and Pierre Bourdieu
