RESUMO

Nowadays with a globalized vision about education Brazil has suffered along its history a long reestructuring process in the educational system, mainly towards the youth and adults education. This work involves persons that have returned to their studies after a long time and had presented while students some difficulties related to the registries and comprehention of the mathematics problem headings with adding structures. Making references to the piagetians supposals to the conceptuals fields of G. Vergnaud and bringing an andragogical vision about the adults teaching art, we try to characterize and describe the registry strategics used by these persons when challenged to solve these kind of problems. In a qualitative research the interaction between researcher and researched ones was made through interviews and later filming, analysing their actions, way of speaking and registers through which we could observe that the research subjects passed through three distinct phasis to get to their conclusions: firstly there was the global vision of the situation followed by the articulation of the involved parts and finally to the situation structure. In a pre analysis we agreed with Vergnaud when he says that the knowledge shows up when we work with problem-situations contextualyzed in their quotidian. So these persons can evaluate numbers, adding or subtraction as they already live and interact with these concepts on their day by day.
