RESUMO
This thesis maps out the emergence of the relationship that children establish with music and sound throughout childhood, considering childrens unique singularities and characteristics, as well as the concept of music itself. The major role and influence of the educational space in the processes of interaction with sound and music is another aspect presented in this work, thus structured on the three pillars mentioned above. The objective of this research is to show the singularity of the act of making music that tends to emerge in educational environments through the use of communication methods that try, with Muniz Sodré, to embrace the diversity of the nature of exchange, where the representative or intellectual signs appear, mainly focusing on the powerful device of affection. Based on propositions made by Hans-Joachim Koellreutter (1915-2005), pointing to the singularity of the musical fact, as well as to the territory of musical education as a communicational space founded on sensitive strategies, research and analyzes have been made focused on the musical behavior of children participating in musicalization groups. As a main source, quotidian musical experiences with children over a long period of time, have been used a real, effective and dynamic field in our research. Theoretically, the analyzes were founded on the childrens musical trajectory, based on the dynamic systems theory proposed by the psychologist and cognitive scientist Esther Thelen (1941-2004). Concepts proposed by the French philosophers Gilles Deleuze (1925-1995) and Felix Guattari (1930-1992) have guided the analysis of what music making among children means. Through rizomatic thinking, the present research maps out the dynamic transformation of ideas about music. Additionally, it proposes a minor way method for musical education, where resistance, thinking, singularity, and escape line are gathered together against the control mechanisms of the media, whose emphasis is always on the final product and never a stimulation of the process. By proposing that children already make music and give significance to the musical activity through the minor way, this research repositions pedagogic procedures, with the goal of favoring the meaningful exercise of music in childhood, contra to the established traditionalist models, in both media and the education field. Mainly, this research points to the foundation of communication territories, which can be created by working with the ideas of music as an event, as a process that leads to the future and as a game that takes place in the between-place of the communication of the established
