RESUMO

This research had as a general goal to analyze the construction process of politico- pedagogical projects of the Physical Education Course from UCDB from 1996 until 2005, face the evaluation processes implemented by the educational policies. The study had the following tools for the collection of data: a questionnaire with open and closed questions applied to 29 university students from the last semester of the referred course, interviews structured with the Coordinator of the Course from 1996 until 2001 and another Coordinator, from 2001 until 2005 and interviews with teachers who have been teaching for more than two years in the Physical Education Course from UCDB. The Politico-Pedagogical Projects of the Physical Education Course built in the historical period from 1996 until 2005 were also analyzed .The study about the Politico-Pedagogical Project in the Physical Education Course, as well as in the higher education was important because the referred document guides the professional formation and the conduction of the pedagogical proceedings related to the professional. In the results, it was observed that the Politico-Pedagogical Projects of the Physical Education Course from UCDB built from 1996 until 2005 were evaluated by a Commission of Specialists from MEC in the year 2000 and that the referred document is little known by the student body and faculty. In the final considerations it became evident that the Physical Education Course from UCDB concerning the building and evaluation of the Political Pedagogical Project is not different from the practices used in the Brazilian higher education institutions and to modify this prospect, it is necessary to build processes which provide participation, democracy and autonomy
