RESUMO

To evaluate the effects of animal plasma and intracell yeast extract: - IYE in different levels on performance, internal organs weight, glucose and insulin concentrations and the immune response (immunoglobulin G dosage) of piglets weaned at 21 days age, two trials were carried out using one control corn, soybean meal and milk products (milk whey and lactose) based diet. Additionally six diets were formulated with the addition of animal plasma and EIL at levels of 2, 4 e 6%. A completely randomized block design in factorial scheme 2 x 3 + 1 (protein sources - PS, levels and control treatment). Isoproteics and isocalorics diets were used. In trial I, 462 piglets (males and females) were used to evaluate the performance in two periods (0 to 14 and 0 to 21 days after weaning). From 0 to 14 days no PS and levels effects (P>0,05) were observed to weight gain (WG), but an interaction (P<0,01) between PS and level was observed, quadratic response of WG with EIL use. PS and levels effects on feed intake (FI) and an interaction (P<0,01) between PS and level were obtained, linear response of FI with plasma levels used. Control treatment showed lower (P<0,05) FI. Quadratic effects (P<0,05) of levels were observed for feed conversion (FC), protein utilization efficiency (PUE) and energy utilization efficiency (EUE), with best levels: 2.47; 2.4 and 2.39%, respectively. From 0 to 21 days, piglets feed with plasma showed higher (P<0,05) WG and FI than one feed IYE. No effects of FC, PUE and EUE were obtained in this period. In trial II 105 piglets (males e females) were used to evaluate organs weight (spleen, stomach, liver, pancreas and kidney), glucose and insulin concentrations and the plasmatic concentration of immunoglobulin G. Plasma showed higher (P<0,01) preprandial glucose concentration, and animals of control showed lower preprandial glucose concentration. No effects were observed on posprandial glucose concentration. Additionally no effects were obtained for internal organs weight and immune response. It was concluded that best performance is obtained with inclusion of 2% plasma level in piglets diets, IYE showed quadratic effect recommended the inclusion to it of 2,7% in the diets of pigs and the use of any protein sources no affect the physiological responses of animals.
