RESUMO

The present thesis presents the results of an academic research whose main goal was to identify the impacts of the introduction of the Desktop Video Conferencing (webconferencing), based on the Internet, in the educational scenario, focusing on the changes of teachers roles caused by this technology. We carried out a study focusing on the teachers procedures in this new educational environment in which teachers actions were impacted by the use of this new technology as an educational tool. The study identified how teachers actions were affected or modified by the educational situation in which students and teachers interacted face to face, mediated by this technology, in a distant, but synchronized way, characterizing a blended learning. This ethnographic research of a virtual classroom used as an observation field the educational relationship in the context of the Masters Course on Education of the Universidade de Brasília that is supported by desktop video conferences and aims to promote the continuous education of agents of the Federal Network of Professional and Technological Education (Project Manager). The investigation started from studies on the Didactic Transposition of Knowledge (CHEVALLARD, 1997) and, during this research, we analyzed and identified changes in teachers practices caused by the transition from a traditional educational environment to a blended learning context. The main goal was to emphasize the changes occurred in teachers actions caused by the use of the webconferencing technology as an educational tool, characterizing the phenomenon of Midiatic Transposition.
