This work has as objective to analyze the movement of intensification of FDI (Foreing Direct Investment) in Brazil, from the decade of 90, with the economic liberalization started in the Collor Government. The study it demonstrated, that the FDI used as main vehicle of entrance in the country, the merger and acquisitions, promoted by the supermarkets retail segment, one high degree of concentration
