RESUMO

Currently the Database Management System (DBMS) possess great capacity to store since the data gotten for the systems do business until the information synthecized for the systems of decision taking. In this context, as much the search for the information how much the routines of maintenance of this environment require a bigger effort on the part of the database administrators (DBA) and the creation of routines and mechanisms that automatize the tasks of administration and management. The application of the concepts of self-configuration, self-optimization, self-recovery and selfprotection, used for the area of autonomic computing, had passed to be applied to the DBMS giving origin to a new called concept: Autonomic Database Management System (ADBMS) allowing to automatize tasks of detection and correction of fails that until then depended on interaction intense human being on the part of the DBA. This work has the objective to improve the mechanisms of identification and solution of errors in the domain of ADBMS. For this it is considered to conceptualize the domain of problems in ADBMS, to formalize a conceptual model of this domain through the creation of a ontology and to implement a formal model of communication between software agents who act in this environment. The implementation of the mechanism that uses a domain ontology of problems found in SAGBDs received the name of OntoSitter
