RESUMO

Institutions have constantly sought human resource management models that transform people actions into more competitive and proactive ones. In this sense, quality of life groups have been used for motivating employees and improving working environment aiming to contribute and improve organizational performance. The present research analyzed the influence of Quality of Life Program groups on the performance at working teams and also at CNPq. The theoretical methodological sources considered in this research were based on literature about quality life at work, knowledge management, emotional field, organization learning models and the Meta Learning Model, which is based on the chaos theory and non-linear dynamics applied on group performance in the working environment. Database was built based on PANAS /Positive Affect and Negative Affect Schedule/, i.e., a humor scale collected from employees that may have participated or not in these quality of life teams (sample A: 15 participants; sample B: 14 participants; sample C: 22 participants). Moreover, it was applied a questionnaire containing 10 positive factors and 10 negative ones based on PANAS. The Likert scale was also used during and after the work group activities. Final results imply the dynamics employed by these groups favor the performance of working teams and positively affect peoples motivation in the working environment, since positivity / negativity ratios of A, B, C samples changed from 2.26; 2.60; 1.93 to 2.39, 3.60, 2.52, respectively. In conclusion, group dynamics can be applied as motivation techniques for improving team performance, contributing for increasing connectivity among individuals and can be used as knowledge management techniques targeting the individual, group and organization learning.
