RESUMO

The conflicts that result from the language is present in the compositions (rap) produced by young people of the hip-hop movement has resulted in contrary social positions to this juvenile cultural movement. These conflicts generate âaccusationsâ of apologia in favor of violence and criminality against the integrants of this cultural movement. It is emphasized the role played by the popular communication means to the construction of the public opinion about these people and also the criminal processes, the arrest of them, as a result of an unilateral interpretation, that insists in the juridical aspects of this reality. These facts have caused discrepancy and dissidence inside of the hip-hop movement because of the difficulties that they proportionate to the struggle for visibility and social recognition. In the present essay, the central thesis focus in the analysis of these languages, their dissidences and the processes in which they are generated. I took, here, as an analysis field, young boys from Morro Bom Jesus and Barrio do Centenario in Caruaru/PE. I work with the premise that the accusation proffered against these young boys is based in an interpretative conception of their compositions, which senses are taken as essences, without taking in account their historicity, local context and quotidian life from where such language arises. Taking this language as an essence, this accusations, intrinsically, take these young people as possessed by it. Therefore, these part of the youth is seen out of their historicity. In addition, I take the proposition that rap language reflects the manner how the social position occupied by each involved social subject is comprehended in the totality of the social system. It indicates a sense of change process in/of the social reality, with the principal goal of establishing a pursuit of recognition.
