RESUMO

We investigate, in this text, the narrateeÂs role for the construction of JoÃo VÃncio: regarding his loves narrative, by the Angolan fictionist Josà Luandino Vieira. We look also noted how the study of a structural element ― the narratee ―, the signals sent to him and his relationship with the characters can lead us to a broader characterization of the novel, and, crucially, the characternarrator JoÃo VÃncio. To situate our discussion on Angolan literature context and the VIEIRAÂs compositions, we make use of the contributions of criticals Laban (1980), Ervedosa (1979), Chaves (1999), Hamilton (1975) e Trigo (1977). To an observation of the experimentalism employee in the work of the Angolan and a look over some aspects of his written, as the orality presence, the multilingualism, influences and style, building upon an instrumental also offered by Linguistics in which Bakhtin (1997) and QuintÃo (1934) will be useful. Do not leaving behind the themes, and their habitually presence, for instance, the criticism of colonialism and the struggle for liberation of the Angolan people, we follow the words by Kaiser (1958). In order to problematise questions like concepts of mimesis, fiction, reality and their relations with society and History we follow the thought of Lima (2006). From the narratology we use in a problematiser manner and not just to identify elements, contributions by theorists as Adam &Revaz (1997), RimonKenan (1987), Scholes &Kellogg (1977). Particularly about the narratee question we base ourselves on the studies of Prince (1973), Bourneuf &Ouellet (1981), Reuter (1996), Jouve (2002), et al. From the analysis of novel study, it was possible to observe how the narratee, just as its narrator, should be considered an active element in a narrative, an in particular, influencing component in the form and content of a literary narrative.
