Therefore a research about multiple cases has been done and this includes instrumental character and qualitative nature where the data to be analyzed was collected with the use of a questionnaire aimed at the project managers of the selected companies. Conditioners were achieved as the main results and those influenced the projects management process positively and negatively. Afterwards a set of structural and strategic rules was elaborated and the aim was to help companies that are in the existence and survival stages according to Churchill and LewisÂs model in the process of project management implantation according to the PMBOK Guide. Based on the final results, it has been conclude that the IT companies in existence and survival stages have specific needs in the process of project management implantation. This model can be useful because it defines the process of implantation divided into sequential phases and distinct activities per stages of organizational maturity, making possible a better adhesion to the PMBOK
