RESUMO

The Regulation Law number 17 in its item 17.1.2. states that â in order to evaluate the adaptation of the working conditions to the psycho-physiological features of the workers, the employer has to carry out the ergonomic analysis of the work, and the latter ought to, at least, approach the working conditions according to what was established in this Regulation Law.â This item has been considered inaccurate by the Ministry of Labour since the publication of â the Handbook of Application of the Regulation Law NÂ 17â , page 15, 2002, because, according to the referred law, it can be observed that, as from the demand of the application of the ergonomic analysis of the work, there has been no such standard procedure which has defined the minimum steps which ought to compose such intervention. It has been noticed, after bibliographical research work was carried out in this area, that, our country, there are three standard methodologies of ergonomic intervention applied by the Brazilian researchers. Those methodologies are a result of the scholars academic background and their field of research. This dissertation presents a preliminary proposal of a hybrid model of ergonomic intervention based on the comparative study of the three most frequently used methodologies in Brazil. The methodologies identified as being the most used are: the methodology of the Systemic Analysis of the System x Human x Task x Machine; the Methodology of the Ergonomic Analysis of the Work and the Methodology of the Macro-ergonomic Analysis of the Work. All these methodologies are applied by their authors in the academic supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as in their consultancy work. This research has aimed to: [i] identify the constant steps of each methodology and compare them with the others; [ii] present a flowchart of steps as from the re-reading of each methodology; [iii] present a preliminary proposal of the hybrid model of ergonomic intervention based on the Content Analysis (Bardin, 2000) of the steps and the converging / divergent results of each methodology. This work has developed as from 4 different sources: [i] bibliographical review; [ii] intextualization of methods used by Ergonomics in order to develop its own research; [iii] interviews with the authors, [iv] the analysis of the practical cases which illustrated each methodology
