RESUMO

During a long time, the capital was, primarily, a scarce resource, and consequently the companies needed to organize themselves around the Top Management. Nowadays, the capital is no longer the scarce resource for most of the companies. The Knowledge, differently from the Capital, it is not centralized inside the Top Management, but distributed through the whole organization. Therefore, those who got the Knowledge will be the target of total attention, and consequently of the power. The knowledge is not necessarily stored in the data base or catalogued in Manual of procedures of the Corporation; it is in the mind of the people that dominate the process. One thing that the Organiztions dissregard is the fact that they neglect cataloguing and classifying the tacit knowledge of groups and persons, who could be part of their strutuctural asset. Then, the Companies need to make special arrangements in their Information Tecnology and get human resources that support the cataloguing action and knowledge classification. We believe, however, companies in general did not wake up yet to the present reality. So, we developed a study with five Textile Companies from Blumenau Region, as per Sintex - Syndicate of Industries of Spinning, Knitting and Apparel. Through a questionnaire with open questions we tried to identify the crytical aspects for the cataloguing and tacit knowledge classification in the companies. The results showed the companies have Information Tecnology for Information Administration purely structured. However, during interviews, people demonstrate that Planning for the next years converge to semi-strutured and non structured Information Administration. The intelectual knowledge of employees is not catalogued and not classified either. Through the study we did, we were able to propose a model for knowledge cataloguing that give priority to the involvment of people of all levels of the organizations for storing and disseminating the information
