RESUMO

This present research tried to evaluate the geomorphological dynamic of the elevated compartments of the Borborema Highlands prioritizing the occurrence of sedimentary deposits dated that were identified after a qualitative rising of the geomorphological features. The chosen area type was the district of Tabocas, in the municipal district of Brejo da Madre de Deus, Pernambuco. Between the several found features, they were the hillslope deposits, the colluvial aprons, under the ramp form that was chosen for the reconstruction of the geomorphological dynamic. The stratigraphic of the materials that structure the surface of the landscape was defined starting from the elaboration of vertical sections. Analysis sedimentolÃgical, X-ray diffraction of clay minerals analysis and Optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) dating of quartz and feldspar, aiming at providing the necessary data for a qualitative reconstruction model of depositional events. The obtained results indicate the occurrence of discrete events of hillslope material remobilization as a dynamic response of the geomorphological systems to the events of climatic oscillations from PMG
