RESUMO
This work has as objective to develop a technique for the detection, identification and reconfiguration of multiple faults in sensors of linear time invariant systems using the analytical redundancy approach. It is the result of the study of several fault detection and identification techniques found in the literature, that use the state observer method due its speed of response but that, originally, were developed for single faults in sensors. Among the techniques studied, we selected two of them and extended it to detect and identify multiple faults in sensors. This work also developed a new technique, which was tested with three different Luenberger observer eigenstructure, to detect and identify multiple faults in sensors. Several case studies, based on a linearized and frozen model inspired in a Satellite Launcher Vehicle VLS, are presented to compare the two selected and extended techniques and the developed techniques. Among these techniques, that one with the best performance was chosen; and, to make the studies more realistic, the influences of the noises in its sensors were evaluated. After developing such detection and identification subsystem for multiple faults in sensors, a subsystem to reconfigure the control law was designed, aiming to keep the controlled plant stable when one or more sensors fail. The results show that the chosen technique can detect, identify and reconfigure multiple faults in sensors under the hypotheses assumed and the conditions simulated. Finally, the influence of disturbances in the actuators and the parameters variation in the plant dynamics were evaluated on the DIRFMS subsystem.
