Crônicas de Luís Fernando Veríssimo: uma manifestação da oralidade

RESUMO
This research aims at analyzing the characteristics of spoken language in chronicle - written discursive genre. The general objective is to show that the literary chronicle is taken possetion of constitutive elements of the spoken modality of the language like: turn, topic structure, conversational markers, paraphrases and adjacent pairs to cause an effect of naturalness and realism in literature. Another aspect boarded in this study is the conversational strategy chosen by the characters, through author, to each interacional situation, more specifically strategies to preserve the face and of monitoring. To reach the aim that has been proposed, it has been selected a corpus that consists of twenty chronicles by Luís Fernando Verissimo, from the book "As Mentiras que os Homens Contam". This research is based on four great theoretical perspectives: Conversation Analysis (Andrade (2001), Aquino (1991), Barros (2000), Fávero (2001), Fávero, Andrade and Aquino (2002), Galembeck (2001), Hilgert (1989), Marcuschi (1991, 2001), among others); of the Verbal Interaction (Brown and Levinson (1996), Goffman (1987, 1989, 1998), Kerbrat Orecchioni (1996, 1998), Preti (1998, 2000), among others); Discourse Analysis (Bakhtin (1992)); of Literature (Candido (1992), Coutinho (1978, 2003), Konzen (2002), Moisés ( 1987) and Sá (2001) among others). The result of the analyses presents, in fact, occurrence of the marks of the orally in the chronicles, as much in relation to the constituent of the spontaneous conversation how much of the conversational strategies, especially those that preserve the face in the ritual of the constructed dialogues in literature
