RESUMO

The present research is aimed, in the light of psychoanalysis, to study the actor s body s creation process to the scene. Therefore, the role of repetition during the rehearsals is investigated, taking into account the fact that it is by means of repetition that a new body a poetry body can be written and showed on stage. Two dimensions of memory are examined the imemorial memory and the emorable memory and referred to the writing process, including three specific modalities: writing of the body, writing on the body and writing with the body. It is argued that repetition makes this writing process possible since it binds the Real, the Symbolic and the Imaginary registers, which are related to what is out of language and to what language itself manages to organize as writing and as image.
