RESUMO

The perspectives of a great number of accesses of wind turbines to the Brazilian electrical system have stimulated studies on the controls of these generators and the impacts that they will cause in the electrical grid. This two stages work, considered the study of control techniques of induction generators with squirrel cage type or doubly fed, when set in motion by wind turbines, connected to the grid or isolated. In the first phase, algorithms of simulation for the study had been developed. The wind generators connection with the grid has been analyzed using the doubly fed rotor. Also it was studied, the isolated use of the generator with the use of the squirrel cage type rotor. In the second stage, assays in an assembly have been carried through, that simulated a set of isolated wind generation, feeding a DC load. All work searched to analyze the strategies for instantaneous control of the active and reactive power generated by the induction machine. For the machines motion, the techniques of control strategies had been chosen, including the orientation for the machine flow, using the direct method and chain feeding. Finally the cases simulation results was presented and analyzed in connection to the electrical grid and the simulations results of the isolated use compared with the experimental one
